RCF 4 PRO in Manila Music Festival
More than 100 bands rocked at the new SM Mall of
Asia at the recent Fete de la Musique Festival, in
Manila, Philippines as part of 'French Spring in
Manila' celebration.
The festival, which was held at the SM Mall of ASIA
for the first time, was divided into 4 stages,
playing various genres from rock, heavy metal,
indie & pop and ran from mid afternoon of the
Saturday to the break of dawn of Sunday.
Sound reinforcement for the 4 stages was supplied
by local hire company Stage Pro sound & lights,
owned and operated by Ronnie Osabel, whose says his
ideal sound system is "One that goes up fast, needs
little or no tweaking, offers many years of service
and pleases the ears of sound techs of bands &
singers and with RCF's 4PRO system, we've found
it"
Stage Pro has recently taken delivery of the
4PRO-6001 Powered 3-way Speakers, 4PRO-3002SMA
powered wedge monitors, ART 322A & ART 315A.
The plan is to build a premier system which offers
a totally "powered" concept.
Ronnie explained "At the Fete de la Musique
Festival, we used 8 RCF 4PRO 6001s for FOH duties,
4PRO-3002SMA powered wedge monitors for the front
wedges and an ART 315A for the Drum fill".
During the setup, which is normally scheduled to
start at 12:01 a.m., they had the system up and
blasting in an hour. No amps to roll in, no cables
to layout, no speakers to tweak & calibrate.
"This is simply a plug & play system on a big
scale" says Ozabel. "We did in an hour, what
usually takes us 2-3 hours to setup and tweak on a
3 way system with separate amplifiers.

Ronnie explained at the set up "The system design
is simply console Out - EQ - RCF-6001. Monitoring
is as simple as well, Aux Out - EQ - RCF - 3002sma
/ ART 315A"

A week before the Fete de la Musique event, Stage
Pro supplied 6 RCF ART-325A powered speakers to be
stationed in SM Mall of ASIA as pocket systems,
providing upbeat music during mall opening hours.
The performance impressed the marketing bosses of
SM so much that Stage Pro ordered four more
ART-315A Powered speakers. The functionality of
using the RCF ART series as an FOH speaker and as
wedge monitors made it the best solution for his
numerous smaller gigs.
When confirmation of Fete de la Musique came Stage
Pro looked towards the bigger 4PRO-6001 & 4PRO
3002sma wedge monitors, which did not fail to
impress Ronnie and his team. The system ran from
10a.m on Saturday to 5 a.m. on Sunday without
missing a beat.

Mario Benipayo, of Forerunner Technologies Inc.,
who are RCF's distributors in the Philippines,
commented "STAGE PRO joins a growing roster of
rental outfits who have taken advantage of RCF's
